It can't have been easy for their mom, raising two kids on her own after their father left her, but she's done a pretty good job. Mostly. Audrey is just over the cusp of teenhood, and she's starting to be A Teen. She's wandering down the hall of their home late at night, coming back from the bathroom, when she sees the light coming from underneath her brother's bedroom door.

Audrey's not sure why Vincent and their mom don't get along. Honestly, it's never been something she's completely understood. Sure, their mom has often been working and so not at home, but hasn't she always made time for then? Maybe it's a boy thing, is the only conclusion she's ever come to.

She doesn't recognize the urge in her mind as anything distinct or distinguishable from a thought she would have herself, and steps inside the room, nudging the door closed with her foot.

"I was just going to the bathroom. What, you think I'd come sleep with you if I had a nightmare? I'm not 5 anymore, Vincent."

Hah, it worked! Vincent looks a little pleased despite himself, though he realizes the expression doesn't quite match their conversation.

"Sometimes you act five." He runs his thumb over the surface of the cube, contemplating his next move. It's not like he hasn't had certain thoughts about his sister before, even knowing they're wrong. It's not like he doesn't realize the opportunity that's in front of him now, but...

But he needs to be careful. He pushes another 'order' toward her, going for something a little more complex: just a little sliver of sexual desire (towards him, of course) that he nudges into steadily growing.

"You won't come bothering me for anything before long, though. I bet you've got a boyfriend already, right?"

For a moment, Audrey can't help but think that her brother's handsome, lying on his bed like that. Her eyes glance over the definition of the muscles in his arms. He's kind of... really good looking...

...wait, what is she thinking? She squeezes her eyes shut, her expression completely transparent.

"As if I'd want one," she says, crossing her arms over her chest. "Guys in my grade are so dumb. Who'd want to date any of them?"

Woah, woah, is that working, too? Vincent forces the excitement to stay out of his expression, instead looking humored at her commentary.

"Girls in my grade say the same thing. Adult women, too." Judging by their mom, at least, and Vincent doesn't even care if that thought is uncharitable. "You just gonna date older guys for you entire life?" It's really tempting to lean on his earlier command, move it along a little faster, but for the moment he leaves it.

Instead he blinks, like he's suddenly realized something, then smiles again.

"You dismissed the guys your age pretty fast, you know. Don't tell me there's already some high school age guy you're crushing on."

She's really bad at lying.

Which is weird, because she's not lying when she answers, "of course not!" She doesn't really have any crushes on many people at all... maybe some idle fantasies about handsome boys a few grades above her, but that's it.

So why is her face burning and her voice a little hesitant?

"Guys your age are even worse," she retorts. "Maybe I'm just gonna have to become a lesbian."

It is working.

Vincent has to make himself stay calm, has to make himself look skeptical instead of delighted. She isn't just lying, she's obviously lying, and she looks pretty damn cute when she's embarrassed, too. Still, he needs to be careful about picking the best way to handle this...

"Do it." This is in response to the idea of becoming a lesbian. It feels a bit contradictory, but he thinks he can work with this angle. "Another girl can't knock you up, and I get to keep pretending my sister's the same cute little tomboy she always was."

That's really, really, weird. As soon as he says 'do it,' a thought pops into her mind unbidden. It's her, sitting on a couch next to another girl, their lips pressing together, one hand on her thigh...

Ah, this night is just getting better and better. Vincent wants to keep being subtle, but...

Well, it's obvious that Audrey doesn't suspect a thing. So he gives her two more orders. First, he compels her to lock the door - not that it's likely to matter much, but just in case. Second, he wills her to feel not just a little aroused, but flat out horny and eager for the first available guy. He stops short of ordering her to actually do anything, however. He wants to see her cave on her own.

"Nah. Cute hair is short, but long hair suits you." He swings his legs over the edge of the bed, then pats the sheet next to him. It's not an order, this time. Just an invitation. "Besides, if you're gonna change your hair it should be for the guy you like, not your brother."

She doesn't quite understand what's going on, to be honest. It's one thing to turn around and lock the door in a single, quick motion. It's another altogether when she has to face that sudden wave of crashing arousal that washes over her.
